Bollywood actor Govinda and his nephew, comedian Krushna Abhishek, have finally buried their years-long feud. After the Hero No 1 star injured himself, Krushna visited his home to check on him, marking their first meeting at Govinda’s home in seven years. In a recent interaction with E Times, Krushna shared how the family has “finally buried the hatchet and moved on.”

Earlier this month, Govinda sustained an injury after accidentally misfiring his gun, leading to his hospitalization. Although Krushna’s wife, Kashmera Shah, visited Govinda at the hospital, Krushna himself couldn’t make it as he was touring in Australia. However, he ensured that as soon as he returned to India, he visited his uncle at his home, which he hadn’t done in seven years. “It felt like I had completed half a vanvaas (exile),” Krushna told E Times. He added that meeting Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, after all these years was an emotional moment for him, saying, “I just hugged her.”

Reflecting on his reunion with Govinda, Krushna shared that they “joked, laughed, and reminisced about old times.” He also fondly recalled living with Govinda and his family during the early days of his career, and how their recent meeting brought back memories of those times. However, Krushna clarified that neither of them brought up their past disagreements. “Sab gile shikve door ho gaye hain (All grudges have been put aside),” he said. Krushna also mentioned that he didn’t meet Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, as she was busy, and admitted that he was “scared to face her.” He added, “I knew she would scold me.”

The Great Indian Kapil Show actor expressed his intention to stay in touch with his uncle, saying, “I’m glad we’ve finally buried the hatchet and moved on. Now I’ll keep visiting, and I’ll also meet mami (aunt).” Krushna reassured that Govinda is doing better now and is able to move around the house with the help of crutches.

The longstanding tension between Krushna and Govinda stemmed from the Partner actor’s displeasure with Krushna for making jokes about his characters on television. Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, also distanced herself from Krushna and his family. However, the two reconciled their differences during Krushna’s sister Arti Singh’s wedding in April.
