For actor Kartik Aaryan, playing the lead role in director Kabir Khan’s upcoming biographical sports drama, Chandu Champion, inspired by the life of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar, is almost a once in a lifetime opportunity. Although he feels he has poured his heart into the character, Aaryan is now eager to see how audiences will react when the film releases this Friday.

As demanding as the preparations for the character were physically, the actor recently said that it changed him as a person and made him “anti-social”. “I was living an anti-social life. Not that I was very social before, but during this process, I was completely anti-social. And I started liking it,” he revealed in an interview with Film Companion.

Kartik Aaryan also mentioned that this mindset became a challenge when he joined the set of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. “I went to Anees Bazmee’s set. As soon as I started shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa and did my first scene, I was told my energy had dropped and I needed to increase it. I kept trying to raise it, but after a while, I felt I was acting too much. I even double-checked with him. Finding the right balance was tough.”
