Ahead of its release, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail is receiving rave reviwes. Actor Kamal Haasan is the latest one to appreciate the film. The actor watched 12th Fail at a special screening in Tagore Film Centre NFDC, Chennai, and shared his thoughts about the film in a video.

Kamal said, “Namaste, I am talking from NFDC theatre in Chennai where I saw 12th Fail by my friend Mr Vidhu Vinod Chopra. These are occasions when you feel proud to say that somebody is your friend. I am very happy I saw the film. Most of them who saw the film had only one thing to say: ‘Longtime since we saw a good film like this.’ I would like to second that. Thank you Vinod Chopra for making a film like this. It brings back hope in filmmakers like me to confidently go ahead and do what you love the most.”

Vidhu Vinod Chopra, known for films Parinda and 1942 A Love Story, has returned with 12th Fail after a gap of three years. The film is based on the best-selling Anurag Pathak novel of the same name. It is the inspiring story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi. Talking about the film, Vinod Chopra said that it is a tribute to all the honest IAS officers of the country.

Starring Vikrant Massey in the lead role, the film is all set to be released on October 27.
