Twinkle Khanna and Kajol’s recently concluded chat show, Two Much, had quite a lot of A-listers as guests, but it was Twinkle and Kajol who ended up becoming the most talked-about celebrities on their own show. Some of the comments made by the two about relationships and marriages made the netizens make assumptions about their marriages with their respective husbands, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. While the stars have not clarified any of those comments yet, Rakul Preet Singh recently said that these are all veteran actors who have seasons upon seasons of these kinds of stories. Rakul also shared that she has seen both these couples closely and appreciated their relationships.
In a chat with Siddharth Kannan, Rakul spoke about Ajay and Kajol’s relationship and said, “I can’t really speak on their behalf, but whatever I get out of it is that there is a very solid friendship. There is trust. Social media will write something or the other every day but they have stood the test of time because they… when there is friendship, when you like spending time with each other…”
Rakul said that Ajay is a “family man” and his son Yug, when not in school, is often on Ajay’s set. “Yug is always on set. Ajay sir is such a family person. He has been in the industry for 30 years so he has seen lots of seasons of all of this. And both Kajol and Ajay are stars. I feel trust, faith, friendship, it is very essential to have all that as a base of any relationship,” she said. Ajay and Kajol have been married since 1999.
Rakul was also asked about Akshay and Twinkle’s relationship and she said, “I feel they have a very fun chemistry. They both keep joking with each other and both of them are hilarious.” Akshay and Twinkle have been married since 2001.
On Kajol and Twinkle’s show, they said that physical infidelity was not a deal-breaker. In another episode, Kajol said that marriage should have an expiry date.
