John Abraham, who has been in the acting business for over 22 years, recently recalled the time when he reached for the muhurat of his first film and was refused entry. The reason was that he was on a bike. The film in question is Vikram Bhatt’s Aetbaar, which was produced by Ratan Tata and also starred Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, the actor recalled the time and said, “When I went for my first muhurat shot, I went on a motorcycle. The film was Aetbaar. Hrithik Roshan and Amitabh Bachchan were clapping the board for me. Hrithik and I were classmates, he is a sweetheart. I was not allowed in, because I was on a motorcycle. The gates were shut and they asked me, ‘Kaun ho?’ (Who are you?) I said, ‘The muhurut is for my film’ and they finally allowed me. As soon as they opened the gates, Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan were gesturing at me and saying, ‘Come in’.”
John Abraham, 52, is known for his love for bikes. The actor owns Suzuki Hayabusa, Ducati Panigale V4, Yamaha V-Maz, and Kawasaki ZX-14R, among several of his other bikes.
In the same interview, the actor confessed he hates it when someone touches his bikes. He said, “If someone puts a finger on my bike, I get offended. Irrespective of the bond, I judge them. I take good care of my bikes, I nurture them.”
John Abraham’s The Diplomat released on March 14. In three days, the film has earned Rs 13 crore, according to Sacnilk.
