The wait is over as the king of romance, Shah Rukh Khan, is back being his best self. The latest song from his highly anticipated film Jawan has been unveiled today. Titled ‘Chaleya,’ this romantic melody showcases Shah Rukh’s enchanting chemistry with Nayanthara. Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao lend their voices to the song, which is also released in Tamil and Telugu, known as ‘Hayyoda’ and ‘Chalona.’
Against backdrops ranging from a cruise to picturesque streets, Shah Rukh and Nayanthara’s romance blossoms in various settings in the song. Their chemistry is palpable in the song’s video as they play the characters of the lovestruck couple in the film. While SRK looks handsome in his white and black printed shirt, Nayanthara exudes beauty in her white and red flowy gown. The song is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It is choreographed by Farah Khan and penned by lyricist Kumaar.
Shah Rukh shared the song on Twitter and wrote, “Ishq ho behisaab sa, beparwah, behadh sa! Kuch aisa hai Jawan ka pyaar! #Chaleya Song Out Now! #Jawan releasing worldwide on 7th September 2023, in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.”

Earlier, Shah Rukh had teased fans with a snippet of the song on Twitter. In his tweet, he expressed his appreciation for the entire team of Jawan. He wrote, “The Love of Jawan. Romantic. Gentle Sweet. #Chaleya out on Monday! Anirudh you are magical. Farah as always love u. Arijit u make me sound like love, yet again. Shilpa u sound divine & Kumaar your poetry ‘bahut changi hai’ #Jawan releasing worldwide on 7th September 2023, in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.”
It is no secret that SRK and Nayanthara will play romantic partners in the film. In his earlier tweet, Nayanthara’s husband Vignesh Shivan had hinted at SRK and Nayanthara’s romance in the film. He tweeted, “…there is some good romance between the both of you in the movie , that she has learnt from the king of romance , so already cherishing that with the happiness.”
‘Chaleya’ marks the second single from Jawan. Prior to this, the makers had released ‘Zinda Banda,’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan dancing alongside Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Atlee, Jawan boasts an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra and Sunil Grover, among others. Furthermore, the film features a special cameo appearance by Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone. The film is set to grace theatres on September 7.
