Filmmaker Atlee took to social media on Wednesday to express gratitude after winning the Best Director (Critics) award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024.

At DPIFF 2024, Nayanthara, who played the leading lady in Jawan, was honoured with the Most Versatile Actress award.
After accepting her award, Nayanthara said, “Sabse pehle main shukriya kehna chahungi, hum sab ke dilon ke badshah, Shah Rukh sir ko. (Firstly I would like to thank, the king of our hearts Shah Rukh Khan sir) Thank you so much for the love and respect that you have showed me when I was doing Jawan. Thank you so much for introducing me to all of them, to Bollywood. I couldn’t have asked for more.”
The actor added, “20 saal, 75 film lage, mujhe yahan tak pohachne mein, (It took me 20 years and 75 films to reach here) and it’s truly a surreal moment for me. And to be holding this, most prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award and to be getting it from Shah Rukh sir. Aaj main unn sabhi directors, producers, co-actors, mere saare fans, sabko tahe dil se shukriya kehna chahungi, kyunki unke bina ye safar aur ye sammaan namumkin tha.(Today I want to thank all the directors, producers, c0-actors, my fans because without them the journey and this honour wouldn’t have been possible)”
Jawan, which featured Shah Rukh Khan in a double, was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. It earned earned over Rs 1,140 crore at the worldwide box office.
