Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who turned host for the IPL 8 opening ceremony, was all praises for Shahid Kapoor. Interestingly Saif’s wife Kareena Kapoor had dated Shahid in the past.
Saif welcomed Shahid, the soon-to-be-groom, on the stage, and said: “Let’s welcome now, one of the coolest actors of India and one of the finest dancers in the industry.”
There were understandable smirks and smiles in the stadium that followed these words.

Reports say that Saif also congratulated Shahid Kapoor for his impending marriage and, as per the onlookers, both looked at ease with each other.
According to reports, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have never really been antagonistic with each other and have always shared warm vibes whenever they met.
Shahid and Kareena, who dated for four years before the actress moved on with Saif, broke up just before their 2007 release ‘Jab We Met’.
Later, Shahid was rumoured to be dating Priyanka Chopra, a fact that was confirmed in an episode of Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’. The talented actor is now slated to get married to Delhi-based Mira Rajput, tentatively, in June.
