Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan and her cook Dilip continue to entertain fans with their fun Youtube vlogs. In her latest vlog, they visited Manish Malhotra’s luxurious bungalow in Mumbai. The main highlight of the video was the designer’s lavish residence. From a private lift and a large screen with a theatre-grade sound system to a dedicated room for ironing clothes, the house has everything one could wish for. Yet, Manish called himself “poor” and revealed that he still works day and night.
The vlog started with Farah and Dilip entering Manish’s property after a fun banter with paparazzi outside. There was a golden coloured lift inside the designer’s house. “His house is so huge that it also has a lift,” she shared, calling it Pali Hill’s ‘Taj Mahal’. She then showed a beautiful carpet spread in his lobby.
After entering the beautiful drawing room, Farah Khan pointed towards a massive screen and said, “It’s a screen to watch films, TV, sports, with full theatre sound system.” Manish immediately quipped, “Mujhse gareeb koi nahi hai (no one is poorer than me), I work day and night till now.” Farah then revealed that Manish has a tray of mogra petals in a tray, at his house as well as studio.
Manish then greeted Dilip and took him inside to give a special gift. The fashion designer gifted him a beautiful kurta. Farah then remarked, “Kya teri kismat badli hai (your luck has changed). People gather money for years to afford Manish Malhotra’s outfits. What have you gathered?” Dilip replied, “Aapko (you).”
Inside the living area, there was a table, which had several cases with real flowers. The designer shared that he loves flowers and greenery, and it is changed twice a week. There was also a bar for his house parties. The aesthetic of the portion was brown, beige, cream, and white. Along with muted tones, there were also many artworks hanging on the wall. “Aisa Ghar agar Mumbai mein ho toh kya hi baat hai, bas Antilia aur Mannat ko chorrke,” Farah praised his interiors, mentioning that it still ranks after Ambani and Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai houses.
Later on, Manish Malhotra gave Farah Khan a tour of the huge outdoor area. It has grey couches and the designer also revealed that he is Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu’s neighbour. “The trees in her house give so much shade, it’s beautiful,” he said. “Yusuf Bhai ka Ghar bhi yahin tha. I feel like I am in Udaipur’s palace,” Farah quipped. He also showed her his ‘lava-themed’ bathroom, which she thought was actually another room in his bungalow.
The kitchen in the house features muted tones of cream, light brown, and white, giving it the look and feel of a professional hotel kitchen. The cooks are then seen preparing a dish for them. Manish also showcased his impressive office space, a dedicated room for ironing clothes, and several other striking corners of the house.
Towards the end of the vlog, Gustaakh Ishq actors Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Sheikh joined them, and the group gathered at the dining table to enjoy the meal. The table was beautifully decorated with mogra and rose petals surrounding their thalis.
