Days after Paresh Rawal announced his exit from the highly-anticipated film Hera Pheri 3, actor Suniel Shetty has expressed his disappointment. After leaving the film, Paresh Rawal claimed that his co-stars are aware of his decision. However, Suniel Shetty had a complete different story to tell. He shared he received the news of Paresh’s exit from Hera Pheri 3 from his children amid an interview of his upcoming film Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath.

In an interview with India Today, Suniel Shetty shared, “Athiya and Ahan sent the news to me, asking ‘papa what is this?’ And I was here doing my interviews, and I felt like holy s***.”

Speaking to ANI, Suniel Shetty shared, “It cannot happen. 100 per cent cannot happen without Paresh Rawal. It can have 1 per cent chance without me and Akshay, but 100% can’t happen without Paresh ji. No, it doesn’t. Raju and Shyam, if they’re not hammered by Babu here, it doesn’t work.”

Akshay Kumar sues Paresh Rawal

Paresh Rawal’s sudden decision reportedly attracted a legal suit from his co-star Akshay Kumar, who had bought the rights of the film from Feroz Nadiadwala. Speaking to Hindustan Times, filmmaker Priyadarshan who is also working with both stars in his horror comedy Bhoot Bangla, said, “I don’t know why this happened because Paresh didn’t inform us. Before starting the film, Akshay asked me to check with both Paresh and Suniel and I did and both were onboard.”

He added, “I don’t have anything to lose but Akshay has invested money and that could be the reason why he is taking this action.”

There’s no happiness to doing Hera Pheri 3: Paresh

While he dismissed there were any creative differences, Paresh Rawal has often expressed his dissatisfaction in doing the film. Long before his exit from the film, Paresh had told Lallantop, “Everybody wants to cash in on sequels but do something different with the character that has Rs 500 crore worth of goodwill. Why not fly with it? But there’s mental bankruptcy or mental lethargy. I’m doing the sequel because I don’t want the film to get stuck, but there is no happiness.”

The news of his exit from the film has also disappointed a lot of his fans. Many took to his X post and commented, “Hera Pheri without you? This is very unfortunate!!!” Other comments read, “Hera Pheri without Babu Bhaiyya is like Lassi without Milk”, “Sir, please reconsider your decision” and “Hera Pheri without Baburao is hard to imagine.”

Akshay Kumar is yet to react to the news.
