Alia, 22, will be sharing the screen space with SRK for the first time, and the actress also posted an enthusiastic tweet.

“And a beautiful new journey begins!!!! Day one today for Gauris film. Wish me luckkkk @iamsrk @karanjohar @gauris,” she wrote.

The film is being produced by SRK’s Red ChilliesEntertainment, Johar’s Dharma and Hope Productions.

Shinde, who made a promising directorial debut with 2012 movie “English Vinglish,” starring Sridevi, said a few months ago that the upcoming film will not have “typical romance”.
