Farah Khan, who has around 2.4 million subscribers on YouTube, made a successful venture into vlogging last year. The filmmaker-choreographer’s cooking vlogs with her cook Dilip have not only gained attention, but also generated a significant income. In a recent podcast with her best friend Sania Mirza on Serving It Up With Sania, she admitted that content creation has helped her make maximum money, even more than directing films.

When Sania asked her to choose between choreography, content creation, and direction, Farah replied, “Only one I have to pick? So, maximum money is in content creation.” The tennis maestro instantly laughed and said, “This is coming from a person who has made a Rs 300 crore film.” Farah, who started directing with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Main Hoon Na, went on to deliver two more hits with the actor — Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year. The last film collected over Rs 383 crore at the box office. Her film with Akshay Kumar, Tees Maar Khan, was panned but she had earlier revealed that even that was a hit.

“No, personally, I have made the most money in content creation. But if you ask me what I want to do, that would be direction. That’s my thing,” the filmmaker quipped.

She was also asked to choose between her films Om Shaanti Om (2007) and Main Hoon Na (2004). Farah chose the latter and said, “Ofcourse for me, it will be Main Hoon Na, first baby always.” Sania then asked her about that one song she choreographed and is the most proud of till date. She answered, “So many songs. For choosing one, it has to be ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’. It was like, ‘How the hell did we just go and do it!’ There was no harness, nothing, just us dancing on the train.”

In Farah Khan’s latest vlog featuring Rakhi Sawant as a guest at her house, she revealed that her apartment is spread across three-floors, with seven bedrooms, a private lift and a swimming pool. Farah also shared that she actually has a private lift that opens up directly in her house. In fact, in another video, the Main Hoon Na director also shared that after starting their cooking series, her help Dilip gets extra fees for their popular Youtube vlogs. “He gets a lot—more than everyone here put together,” she said.

In a vlog, when Shruti Haasan asked Farah whether Dilip gets some extra money or royalty for featuring in her YouTube video, she said that he earns a high amount. Shruti said she was concerned about Dilip, to which Farah said that people must think about her, not Dilip. “Yes, he gets a lot—more than everyone here put together. Don’t be worried about him, be worried about me.” As per reports, she has Rs 350 crore net worth.
