Aryan received bail nearly 25 days since he was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the cruise ship drug bust case. The court also granted bail to co-accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in their pleas against rejection of their bail applications by the special NDPS court. Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was released from prison Saturday, 26 days after he was arrested in connection with a drugs case. Aryan walked out of Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai around 11 am.
The development comes two days after the Bombay High Court granted Aryan bail, and a day after it made the operative part of its order available. The HC laid down 14 conditions while granting the 23-year-old bail, including a bond of Rs 1 lakh with one or more sureties in the like amount; not establishing communication with co-accused; not undertaking any action which is prejudicial to the proceedings; making no attempt to influence witnesses nor tamper with the evidence; and surrendering his passport.

Aryan Khan will spend the night at the Arthur Road jail and will be released on Saturday as his release papers did not reach the jail authorities on time, PTI reported.

As the formalities were completed, Satish Maneshinde told media outside the NDPS court, “Bail formalities are completed. Surety of Juhi Chawla has been accepted. We are moving ahead. You will soon see Aryan out. Juhi Chawla knows him since birth. Juhi Chawla is signing the bail bonds."
Aryan Khan's lawyer Satish Maneshinde said about Juhi Chawla on being the surety of Aryan Khan, "She (Juhi Chawla) knows him from birth as they are professionally associated."
"We have received the order of the High Court. The process in on. Once the judge accepts the surety, then we will proceed with other formalities. All should be done by today evening," says Satish Maneshinde, Aryan Khan's lawyer.

As per a report by ANI, Aryan Khan, who was granted bail in the drugs-on-cruise case on Thursday, was informed of the Bombay High Court's decision by the staff in Arthur Road Jail. Jail officials said he was happy to receive the information about getting bail and also expressed his gratitude to the prison staff. The information was conveyed to him at around 6 pm. The officials said Aryan also promised to provide financial help to the families of some prisoners he got acquainted with during his stay in the jail. He also assured them of legal help.
"The accused shall not try to establish communication with (the) co-accused or any other person involved directly or indirectly in similar activities or make any international call to any person indulging in similar activities as alleged against him, through any mode of communication," the 5-page operation order said.
Aryan Khan’s bail conditions include that he will not leave the country without prior permission and he will not leave Mumbai without permission of Investigating Officer. He will also have to report to NCB office every Friday. He shall attend court hearings on all dates unless prevented by reasonable cause. He will also go to NCB office as and when called. Once trial begins, they should not delay the trial.
Each accused be released on bail on furnishing personal bond of Rs. 1 lakh with one or more sureties of like amount.

Karnataka government has alerted Bengaluru district commissioners, DCP’s and SP’s to tighten the security in their jurisdictions after Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar was hospitalized following a heart attack today morning in Bengaluru.
Kannada film stars and Puneeth’s elder brother Shivarajkumar reached the hospital. Actors Yash, Darshan, and Ravichandran are also present at the hospital.
Puneeth Rajkumar developed chest pain in the morning and was advised to rush to the hospital by his family doctor. He arrived at Vikram Hospital in a serious condition around 11.30 am, a doctor at the hospital said. 'He is in a very serious condition and nothing can be said,' the doctor said. Security has intensified at the hospital and near the actor's home in Sadashivanagar. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has also visited the hospital.
Rajamouli dismissed speculation regarding the clash of the two Alia Bhatt-starrers. "Not at all. I always believe that if the films are good, not just two, but even if there are more films and if they are good, people will go and watch all those films. Because of Covid, a bottleneck is expected. If your film is good, people will come and watch it," said the RRR director.

Aryan Khan’s release depends on various factors. The process begins with the Bombay High Court releasing its detailed order. The defence (counsels representing Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha) will get the transcribed order. They will have to go to the Sessions Court to execute the bail on Friday and file the order in the registry of the Sessions Court. If the order mentions a surety, then that needs to be executed. The Sessions Court registry will issue a release order, which has to be signed by the Sessions judge. The release order has to be taken to jail, where once furnished, Aryan Khan will be released from the jail and be free to go home. It is likely to happen late Friday or on Saturday.
