Dharmendra, 89, has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for the past few days. While there have been a few rumours around the veteran actor’s well-being, his son Sunny Deol’s team issued a new statement about his health on Tuesday noon. As per the latest health update, the team shared, “Dharmendra is recovering and responding to treatment. Let’s all pray for his good health and long life.” The actor will turn 90 on December 8.
Sunny, his son Karan, and Dharmendra’s younger son Bobby were seen arriving at Breach Candy Hospital a few minutes after the health update.
Earlier today, as the rumours around his health were shared on social media, Esha took to Instagram to share an update on Dharmendra’s health. “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for Papa’s speedy recovery.”
Soon after, Hema Malini, who has been married to Dharmendra since 1980, shared on Twitter, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
On Monday night, many actors from the Indian film industry visited Dharmendra at the hospital. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda were spotted leaving from the hospital premises at night. Members of the Deol family, incluing, Sunny, Bobby, Karan, and Bobby’s wife Tanya were also clicked at the hospital.
Previously, Sunny’s team issued a statement on Dharmendra’s health as they said, “Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Kindly don’t indulge in spreading false rumours regarding his health. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy.”
