Chhaava box office collection day 35: Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava has been playing in theatres for over a month now, and the film is still drawing a lot interest from the audience. Even after 34 days in theatres, the film made Rs 2.35 crore on its 35th day of release, which is more than the opening day haul of Arjun Kapoor-starrer Mere Husband Ki Biwi, which debuted with Rs 1.5 crore. This takes Chhaava’s nett domestic total to Rs 572.95 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The film’s worldwide collections currently stand at Rs 770.5 crore

On its 35th day in the theatres, Chhaava saw around 9 percent overall occupancy in Hindi. Over 800 shows in the Delhi-NCR region witnessed around 8 percent occupancy, and 595 shows in the Mumbai region witnessed around 12 percent occupancy. The film was also released in Telugu a couple of weeks ago, and witnessed 11.93 percent overall occupancy on Thursday with around 163 shows in Hyderabad.

Chhaava has become the biggest hit of 2025, along with becoming the biggest hit of Vicky Kaushal and director Laxman Utekar’s careers. The film did not see much competition in the theatres since its release on February 14, which gave it a clear run of almost six weeks before the release of Salman Khan-starrer Sikandar, which releases on March 30. Films like The Diplomat, Crazxy and Superboys of Malegaon released in this period but none of them have managed to make a dent in Chhaava’s collections

Previously, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis blamed Chhaava for incidents of violence in Nagpur. “The emotions of people are overflowing and they are showing anger against Aurangzeb. Despite this, we must show restraint. Maharashtra is getting investment, and we will get it if we manage to keep law and order. I warn everyone that anyone who will disturb the law and order will not be spared,” he said.

Chhaava is now inches away from taking over the biggest Hindi film of 2024, Stree 2. The horror-comedy made Rs 597.99 crore at the domestic box office after enjoying a very successful run at the box office. Vicky’s film is now just Rs 26 crore shy of crossing that record. Chhaava has already crossed Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan’s collections, which made Rs 553.87 crore and Rs 543.09 crore respectively.
