When fans go to watch Arijit Singh live in concert, not only are they treated to great music, but they might also walk away with life lessons. Recently, the singer schooled a fan for trying to push his baby towards the stage. A video of the incident doing the rounds online shows the singer pausing the performance and explaining to the fan why this could be dangerous.

The video shows Arijit addressing the fan, who remains off-screen. He was miced up of course, which meant that the entire arena could hear what he said to the fan. “Why are you risking her life? Answer me. You want to come here, she does not. She’s a kid. She was very happy, but she doesn’t want to do this, you want to do this. Why are you doing this to her?” he said, while the crowd cheered him on. He then pointed to his head, as if to tell the fan to use his, and resumed the show.

Recently, the singer had a similarly measured reaction when a fan pulled on his hand during a live performance, and injured him. “You have to understand this. Listen to me, don’t speak. You were having fun, that’s fine, but if I am not able to perform, how will you have fun? You are a grown up and a matured person right? Why did you pull my hand? My hand is shaking now. Should I leave?” he told the fan.

In both cases, Arijit’s fans praised him for keeping his composure during the stressful incidents. “What I like is Arijit putting them on spot, and telling them in front what they are doing is wrong, rather than ignoring the mess it’s better to confront it head on,” one person commented. Another person wrote, “Arijit really is one of the most wholesome celebs and most down to earth guys you’d ever see.”

Arijit is among the leading playback singers in Bollywood. He has performed hit numbers such as ‘Kabira’, ‘Ghungroo’, and ‘Tum Hi Ho’. He was declared the most-followed Indian singer on Spotify for three consecutive years, from 2020 to 2022.
