Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who had earlier conveyed to his fans that he would be unable to greet them on Sunday, finally turned up for the weekly darshan. The actor shared photos from the same on his blog.
Dressed in a bright jacket and white kurta-pyjama, Amitabh looked stately as he approached the gates of his residence Jalsa in Mumbai to meet his sea of fans. The actor wrote, “Out of the car into work and back to the Sunday Gate well wishers. It is the urgency of work and the timings of all else that brings about this delayed BLOG .. but no matter what the attempt is always ready to serve it as the day or the next day comes in with the sunshine.”
Big B added that at first, as he had ‘warned’ his fans, the meeting seemed uncertain: “The Sunday by the Gate had seemed uncertain but .. my Director was generous to the cause and worked in a manner that made it possible for me to rush back in time to greet and savour the love of the dedicated Ef and the well wishers .. off to the gym and work .. will connect in a while.” The actor’s colourful sweatshirt and a cloth tied on his waist caught people’s eyes.
Earlier, the megastar had informed via his blog that he might not make it to the gate in time due to work commitments. However, the actor did turn up for the quick rendezvous. “Going certainly not for the GATE at JALSA tomorrow, for .. there is work on location which can only be given permission for on a Sunday .. There shall be effort of course to return in time for the 5:45pm at Jalsa .. but there could be a delay or a non-appearance.. so a warning in advance to keep away,” Bachchan had penned earlier.
On the work front, Amitabh is looking forward to the release of courtroom drama Section 84, Nag Ashwin film Project K and the yet to be titled Hindi remake of The Intern with Piku co-star Deepika Padukone.
