Actor Kriti Sanon has to be over the moon, as both her professional and personal life is going extremely well. She is currently enjoying the success of her new film Tere Ishk Mein, also starring Dhanush, and the actor is reportedly also gearing up for her sister Nupur Sanon’s wedding. Amidst this, the 77th custodian of the House of Mewar in Udaipur has spoken about destination weddings that take place in royal palaces like his and how much they can set you back financially.
While appearing on the Web FM podcast, he was asked about the whole destination wedding business. The heir apparent to the title of king of Udaipur was also asked about how much it costs to host a wedding in a royal palace. He answered, “There is a very straight answer to this: the more sugar you put in the tea, the sweeter it will be. You want to deal in lakhs or crores; everything is possible. If people have made up their mind about having that dream wedding, they can have it.”
He also added, “People should be realistic about their expectations, deliverables and what in total they are going to receive. Pushing for the little extra is always great, but this should be the first thing that should be cleared.”
Kriti’s sister Nupur, who is an entrepreneur herself, is reportedly marrying singer Stebin Ben at the Fairmont Palace in Udaipur. The wedding will take place on January 8 and 9. The Udaipur hotel is the latest addition to the Fairmont group, which is controlled by international hospitality giants Accor. The palace boasts 327 rooms and suites and is spread across a total area of 18 acres. According to Booking.Com, the single-night charges for a room range from Rs 49000 to Rs 61000.
While there isn’t much known about the guest list for the wedding, it’s bound to be star studded night, with Kriti likely to pull all the stops for her sister. The actor was recently seen at the billionaire wedding of Netra Mantena, where she performed at the sangeet function, along with stars like Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor.
Both Stebin and Nupur are yet to talk or post about the wedding, and the news of the same started going viral after a post on Instagram by a user named Vinay Sharma.
