A video of actor Akshay Kumar, feeding people on the streets of Mumbai, is being widely shared on social media. One of his fan clubs, ‘Akshay Kumar 24×7’, shared a video of the star, and his team, serving people food outside his home in Juhu, Mumbai. He has a film around the corner.

In the video, Akshay is seen wearing a face mask and handing a plate of food to a woman. The woman then calls others to come and “join the langar”. Netizens were mighty impressed by Akshay’s philanthropic gesture, as they dropped heartwarming comments in response to the video. One X user commented, “Akshay Kumar sir is so grounded.” Another wrote, “How humble he is❤️❤️.” A third person wrote, “Akki paji, dil jeet litta (Akki brother, you won our hearts).”

Akshay recently recovered from Covid-19 and is promoting his upcoming film, Khel Khel Mein, which also stars Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, and Fardeen Khan, among others. This will be the actor’s third film this year; he was also seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira. Both films bombed at the box office, continuing Akshay’s long streak of flops.

At the trailer launch of Khel Khel Mein, Akshay addressed the failure of his earlier films and said that no matter what, he’ll keep working. He said, “Hamesha kaam karte rahunga (I’ll always keep working). Chaahe log kuch bhi bole (it doesn’t matter what people say). In the morning I wake up, exercise, leave for work, and return home. Jo bhi kamata hoon apne dum pe kamata hoon (Whatever I earn, I earn on my own). Kisi ka kuch khaunga nahi main kabhi (I’ll never snatch anything from anyone). I’ll keep on working till they have to shoot me down (to stop me from working).”

Khel Khel Mein is scheduled to release in theatres on August 15.
