Recently, at the trailer launch of Housefull 5, actor Akshay Kumar had to face some tough and quirky questions from the media. While he was asked about Paresh Rawal’s exit from Hera Pheri 3, the actor very tactfully answered and said that the matter will be dealt with in court. Later, another journalist asked Akshay how much he charged producer Sajid Nadiadwala for the film. Akshay answered the question in his own trademark humorous style.
He said, “Liye hain, acche-khaase paise liye hai par tujhe kyun bataoon. Tu hamara bhatija lagta hai. Acche paise liye hain, film bhi acche budget par bani hai. Bahut mazaa aaya. Aaj khushi ka din hai, tujhe yahaan raid marni hai. (Even if I took money for the film, why should I tell you? Are you my relative? I took money and lots of it, the film has also been made on a huge budget, and we had a lot of fun. It’s a happy day, you want to raid here?)’
When the same question was asked to Sajid Nadiadwala, he jokingly said, “The IT comes in the morning, they don’t enquire like this in the afternoon.” He later added, “Everybody takes the price they deserve, not a ruppee more or less.” Riteish also added, “You bring one question like this from home always.”
Commenting on Paresh Rawal’s exit from Hera Pheri 3, the actor expressed his disappointment over fans calling Paresh Rawal foolish for his action. Akshay said, “Let me first tell you, using the word foolish for one of my co-stars is not appreciated. I have worked with him for the last 32 years, we are very good friends, he is a great actor, and I admire him. Whatever it is, this is not the place where I will talk about the matter; it is a serious matter and will be handled by the court. I won’t speak about it here.”
Housefull 5 is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Sonam Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandez, Chitrangda Singh, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma, Ranjeet, Nana Patekar, Nikitin Dheer, and others in the cast. The film is slated to release in theaters on 6th June.
