Akshay Kumar is one Bollywood superstar who doesn’t mind doing films in other regional languages. With ‘Robot 2.0, the action superstar will be making his debut in the Tamil film industry, a first for any superstar in Bollywood. The actor is well aware of this fact and pointed it out at a media interaction today (January 12).

Speaking to IndianExpress.com, Akshay Kumar said: “Who is one male actor who has gone to south from here? Down south they take our heroines but not our heroes.I am happy that I am going there. I would love to break this myth.”

Expressing his happiness at his Tamil film debut with Robot 2.0, Akshay Kumar said, “I am very glad that I am the first actor to go and do a Tamil film. I am very happy. I am grateful to them for having signed me for the film. I would love to do more south films. I have done a Marathi film. I have done Punjabi films. I would love to do Gujarati films. I would love to do a Bengali film. I once acted in a Kannada film. It was called Vishnu Vijaya it was with Vishnu Vardhan”

Talking about Rajinkanth’s Robot 2.0, Akshay Kumar said he was looking forward to his negative role and that the movie will send out a message.
