Ajey Nagar, popularly known as CarryMinati, is one of India’s most celebrated YouTubers. Starting his career at just 16, the now 26-year-old has become a household name and a voice for an entire generation of internet users. Known for his sharp wit and unapologetic roasting style, CarryMinati admits that behind his fiery online persona lies a challenge familiar to many — finding love in today’s world.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, CarryMinati shared, “It’s very hard to trust anybody out there. Either people have been with someone from the start, or they are still trying to find that person. It’s difficult for everyone.”
He added, “People assume that because of how they see me online, I’ll be rude. But I’m actually very boring. People expect me to be the same Carry they watch online, but when I’m not like that, they don’t know how to react.”
His high-energy videos and use of adult humour have created a larger-than-life image, something CarryMinati acknowledges can be a double-edged sword. “But I won’t call it a curse,” he said, adding, “It’s a blessing.”
At 26, CarryMinati believes love will find him when the time is right. For now, his focus remains on his YouTube journey and the creative process that drives it.
CarryMinati has been a digital phenomenon for nearly a decade, but his journey began much earlier. At the age of 10, he started posting gaming videos under the channel name Stealth Fearzz. His breakthrough came with roast-style videos that quickly went viral, establishing him as one of India’s most recognized digital creators. Today, he runs two channels — CarryMinati and CarryisLive — where he continues to engage millions through his signature mix of humour, gaming, and authenticity.
