After “Sunoh”, The Archies dropped its second song “Va Va Voom” on Friday. The song has Agastya Nanda’s Archie taking the centerstage as he performs the dance number and sings for Suhana Khan’s Veronica and Khushi Kapoor’s Betty. The upbeat song is young and vivacious and has a retro vibe to it, much like the other promotional material of the film.
“Va Va Voom” has been composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy with lyrics by Javed Akhtar and vocals by Tejas. The music video has the three young actors dancing with much precision in this carefully crafted world by Zoya Akhtar as she attempts to transport the audience to the world of Archie comics, set in 1960s India.

Alongside Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor, The Archies also stars Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. The film marks the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana. In an earlier conversation with India Today, Suhana spoke about her first day on the set of the film and said, “From the number of people on set to the number of lights on set and the hair and the make up and the chaos, I feel like in the middle of it, I just felt extremely significant.” She added that everyone on the set was doing everything to “facilitate Zoya’s vision and knowing that on my first day and realising that, I felt extremely nervous and at the same time, incredibly responsible”.
The movie also marks the debut of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. Her older sister Janhvi Kapoor is already a film actor. Agastya Nanda, who is the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and also the great-grandson of Raj Kapoor, is making his debut in the movies with The Archies. Speaking about his first day on set, Agastya told Bollywood Hungama, “She (Zoya Akhtar) was very patient with us. She taught us very nicely. I love her for taking a chance on us. Hopefully, people like what we’ve done.”
The Archies starts streaming on Netflix from December 7.
