Actor Ameesha Patel recently shared a picture of herself with Anil Sharma, director of her upcoming film Gadar 2. She said she has “respected” the filmmaker for 24 years, after accusing him and his production company of non-payment of dues during the shoot of Gadar 2.
In the latest picture that Ameesha posted on Instagram, she is seen sitting beside Sharma and sharing a good laugh over something. She is seen dressed in a white sweatshirt which she paired with pink trackpants. Sharma is wearing a black t-shirt and a grey trackpant.
Along with the picture, Ameesha wrote, “Spent the entire day today with @anilsharma_dir at his office .. a director who I have known and respected for 24 years n counting now !! Enjoyed seeing KHAIRAYAT SONG With him and the entire team 💖💖🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻.”
The team of Gadar 2 recently released the film’s song “Khairayat” which featured the lead actors, Sunny Deol as Tara and Ameesha Patel as Sakeena.
However, earlier this month, Ameesha took to social media to call out Anil Sharma and his production team for the mismanagement on the set of Gadar 2. She alleged that the filmmaker did not provide proper remuneration to technicians, makeup artists, and costume designers associated with the film. She also mentioned unpaid bills for accommodation, transportation, and food.
Sharma dismissed Patel’s accusations as “false”. He told Dainik Bhaskar, “I have no clue why she said all of this. All I would like to say is that this is all false, none of it is true. At the same time, I would like to thank Ameesha Patel. She made my production house famous.”
Gadar 2 is scheduled to hit the theaters on August 11. The film is a sequel to Anil Sharma’s superhit film Gadar and promises to be as entertaining as its prequel.
