The final trailer for the Hindi-Telugu bilingual epic Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Nage, was released at a grand pre-release event in Tirupati on Tuesday. More than one lakh fans were said to have attended the event.
As far as the new trailer of the Om Raut directorial goes, it is not as sub-standard as the first teaser of the film, which prompted a months-long delay in its release. The opening sequence of the trailer–the kidnapping of Janaki by Lankesh–features some detailed CGI work. However, such quality is inconsistent. Many scenes still retain the cartoonish texture that was seen in the first teaser–especially the ones involving the Vanaras and the battle sequences. However, it is not a matter of concern for Prabhas’ fans as the trailer has crossed over 350 thousand views in minutes. The comment section is full of praise.
The severe backlash for the teaser of Adipurush seems to have made the makers of the film extremely proactive in marketing it. While the teaser featured poor VFX, the makers reworked the CGI and delivered a better trailer some weeks ago. They also made a huge show out of the release of the first trailer. Prabhas watched a special screening of the first trailer along with select fans making sure that only positive word-of-mouth was spread for the trailer, and it worked.
Earlier today, Prabhas and the team of Adipurush visited the Tirumala temple in Tirupati to seek blessings.
This re-telling of Hindu mythology Ramayana has music by the Ajay-Atul duo of Sairat fame. The latest trailer has been released in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi.
Adipurush will hit screens worldwide on June 16, 2023.
