Rise and Fall episode 4 written update: Ashneer Grover-hosted Amazon MX Player show Rise and Fall might have had a slow start but it seems to be picking up on the drama now. In the latest episode, differences and friction were spotted not only between the Rulers in the penthouse, but also between the Workers in the basement. To add to that, the nomination process further ignited the tension between the workers. One highlight in the latest episode was when former cricketer Anaya Bangar opened up about her sex change journey. She also shared that when she came out publicly, she became a victim of catfishing by a famous cricketer.
Talking about her transitioning phase, Anaya told Kubbra, “It felt like I was hitting a second puberty as a girl. Day by day, I could see the hormonal changes; my body was starting to curve out. I had chiseled 8-pack abs before, and now in the task, I couldn’t even break the ice.” Later, Anaya, Aarush Bhola, Akriti, Kubbra, and Noorin were seen discussing whether they had ever been victims of catfishing. While Aarush confessed that he had an incident, Anaya also shared an incident.
During a conversation, Anaya was discussing with Aarush how she had gotten her sperm frozen and could have kids through surrogacy. “I have two options: I can either adopt or go for sperm freezing before the hormone treatment. I can become a mother, but through surrogacy. I was attracted to both earlier, but now I am only attracted to men.” Sangeeta Phogat also asked how Anaya had said in an interview that she had been a victim of something wrong. Anaya went on to share, “When I publicly came out in November 2024, in December and January, while I was posting usual content on social media, a cricketer randomly added me. Without even talking to me, he just went ahead and sent his nude pictures to me. Everyone knows him; he is very famous.”
Later in the game, an intense nomination process led to arguments between the workers. Eventually, Aarush Bhola, Akriti Negi, Sangeeta Phogat, and Noorin Sha landed in the race to get evicted.
Earlier on the show, Anaya had also spoken about her journey. During an emotional conversation, she recalled her childhood struggles, her transition journey, and her ongoing struggles as a trans athlete. She said, “After transitioning, I didn’t have any rights to play. I am fighting for those rights. I feel trans sportsmen should go through tests to show there’s no unfair advantage, and they can be included in teams rather than having a separate team. My family hasn’t accepted me, but maybe they will with time.”
When Anaya revealed that her transition surgery cost Rs 50 lakhs, her fellow contestant Arjun Bijlani got emotional and promised that if he won the show, he would give Rs 10 lakhs to Anaya for her treatment. Aarush Bhola also promised to give her Rs 5 lakhs if he wins Rise and Fall.
