As Bigg Boss OTT’s season 2 came to an end on Monday, the contestants who exited the house of Salman Khan’s reality show addressed the several controversies surrounding the show. Pooja Bhatt and Manish Rani, who were the part of the show’s finale, have spoken about Mahesh Bhatt‘s alleged ‘inappropriate behaviour’ when he came on the show and interacted with all the contestants earlier this month.
Some social media users claimed that Mahesh’s behaviour with Manisha Rani was inappropriate. The contestant, however, said that she “wasn’t uncomfortable at all” and it is wrong if people thought he touched her inappropriately, instead it was her dream to meet him. She also said that his intentions were pure towards her as the filmmaker was seen touching and kissing her on the show.
While talking to ETimes, Manisha said that the filmmaker is like “my uncle, my father”. She also said that elders often express their love for young people by touching them at times. However, Manisha also shared that she “got a little scared” when Mahesh asked her and other housemates to keep quiet as she “can’t keep quiet”. “Mahesh Bhatt is a very big director. It was my dream to meet him. His intentions were very pure,” she said.
Not only Manisha, even Pooja Bhatt has reacted to the particular incident on the reality show where her father was trolled on social media and was called out for “inappropriately touching” and kissing Manisha on her hand. She said that she does not need to “clarify or dignify” her father’s actions.
In an interview with News18, Pooja said, “When Manisha hugs other contestants and asks for kisses then nobody has a problem. I think people forget duniya hum waise he dekhte hain jaise hum hote hain… duniya hum waise nahi dekhte jaise duniya hai (we can only see that which we are, we are often unable to see the world for what it really is) actually. If people actually think like this, good luck to them.”
“I don’t think Mahesh Bhatt or I need to clarify or dignify this.” She also reminded everyone that Mahesh also hugged and kissed Abhishek and praised Jad Hadid as the most beautiful man. She further said that Manisha’s fans are getting ‘a little hyper’, wondering how would the fans react to Manisha’s actions that make ‘lives of other females a little difficult’,” Pooja added. Mahesh Bhatt was there to support Pooja.
Bigg Boss OTT’s second season ended on August 14 with Elvish Yadav taking the trophy home while Abhishek Malhan was declared the runner-up. Elvish, who is a YouTuber, entered the show as a wild card contestant. He won a cash prize of Rs 25 lakhs after winning the show.
