YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, after previously alleging that both Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron dated different people between 2016 and 2019, is now claiming that the Bloodhounds star’s infamous DUI incident in 2022, which practically derailed her career, leading her to drop out of her ongoing Netflix K-drama and lose multiple brand deals, may have been triggered by her breakup with an ex-boyfriend, who Jin Ho says was a singer at the time. The controversial YouTuber, currently facing a lawsuit from Sae Ron’s family, posted a video titled “Coffee Truck Sent to Singer Ex-Boyfriend… Kim Sae-ron’s Dating Timeline and the Truth Behind Her KakaoTalk Message.” The actor had previously claimed she was dating the Queen of Tears star at the time.
Jin Ho, while clarifying he’s not defending Kim Soo Hyun, claimed on April 10th that he doesn’t believe Sae Ron’s story about dating the actor until July 7, 2021. According to him, the real story is that she was already in a relationship with singer A by then. He says they weren’t exactly hiding it either. She sent a coffee truck to the set where he was shooting his music video, showed up at his events, and even spent the night at his house. Their relationship, according to Lee, lasted from early 2021 to May 2022.

He adds, “There’s reason to believe she canceled her dubbing session on May 17 due to heartbreak. That same night, she drank with a close friend from 4 AM to around 7:30 AM before getting behind the wheel.” (This is the same night Kim ended up getting caught for DUI.) The YouTuber then also shared a photo of the coffee truck that Sae Ron allegedly sent to her singer boyfriend. The banners on it read: “Are you really that sexy?” “This is what sexy looks like.” “But that doesn’t mean you can touch.”
He claimed that publicly supporting each other while sharing romantic messages on set was proof of how serious they were. The truck came from Company B, known for providing coffee trucks to celebrities. Interestingly, the official page of the coffee truck company featured Kim Soo Hyun more than anyone else among its regulars, with records showing he had sent more trucks than any other celebrity. Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, had also sent coffee trucks to Kim Sae Ron’s set while she was filming The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim in June 2021, according to Kbizoom. These trucks were posted online and even used hashtags like #GoldMedalist. Lee Jin Ho suggests this could mean Kim Sae Ron was dating singer A at the same time Gold Medalist was publicly supporting her.
There’s also a separate rumour involving a kissing video taken around midnight on May 27, 2019. Jin Ho claimed that Sae Ron was not hesitant to hide her relationship. However, her family quickly shut that down. They said, “That wasn’t Kim with a man. She was with a female friend that night.” They even provided phone records and videos from that night showing her at her friend’s house. According to them, this proves the video is being misinterpreted. At the time, she was also busy filming Love Playlist Season 4 under YG Entertainment, which made it hard for her to be dating publicly. On March 17, Sae Ron’s family accused Jin Ho of defamation. On March 27, they filed another complaint, this time under the Anti-Stalking Act, because he kept revealing private information even after her passing.
