Actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s Netflix series Never Have I Ever is back with its fourth season and it has a Tollywood connection that took everyone by surprise. In one of the episodes, Devi, played by Maitreyi, takes to the dance floor with her cousin Kamala and they do a performance on Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s song Sami from 2021 Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise.
Pushpa: The Rise released in 2021 December and emerged as a pan-India blockbuster with entertaining performance by Arjun, who played the titular role. The movie’s songs like Oo Antava, Sami Sami and others too were a instant hit amongst the audience.

In a clip from the latest season Devi and Kamala (played by Richa Moorjani) are seen at an Indian function where both of them dance on Sami Sami’s Tamil version since Devi comes from a Tamil family in the show.
The third season of Never Have I Ever ended with Devi accepting the loss of her father, working on her relationship with mother (played by Poorna Jagannathan) and choosing to go back to her ex-boyfriend and school friend Benjamin, played by Jaren Lewison.
The new season will see Devi accept her new relationship with Ben and Paxton’s return to Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is shooting for the second part of the film titled Pushpa: The Rule. The Sukumar directorial is expected to release in December and the film brings back Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in their respective roles. The first look of the actor was released on his birthday in April.
