Tunisha Sharma’s mother Vanita Sharma on Sunday filed a complaint against her Ali Baba co-star Sheezan M Khan. In a media statement, Vanita shared that Sheezan cheated on Tunisha. “First, he had a relationship with her saying that he will marry her and later broke up with her. He was already involved with another woman and yet got into a relationship with Tunisha, and used her for three to four months. He should be punished for that,” she said.

Following the complaint, Sheezan was arrested on charges of abetment of suicide and sent to four-day police custody by Vasai court on Sunday. His custody has now been extended by two days. However, Khan’s advocate has told ANI that the police have not found any evidence and his arrest is based on allegations.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) on Sunday also demanded that the Maharashtra government set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the death of Tunisha Sharma.
“We demand the government form an SIT in Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case and the investigation be done properly. Today, I went to the set where Tunisha Sharma died by suicide. I found people were scared. Something wrong must have happened,” AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta said. “Women are not safe on the set (of the television show that Tunisha was shooting for). The set is at a very interior location where people are afraid to commute. The government should pay attention to this matter and have the death probed by an SIT. Many things will come out after the probe,” added the AICWA president.

Reiterating Tunisha's involvement in his family, Vanita shared that Sheezan's sister took Tunisha for a "tattoo" session and his mother also encouraged her to get a dog despite her (Tunisha's mother Vanita Sharma) disliking both.
Tunisha's mother shared, "Tunisha broke up with Sheezan after reading his chats with another woman." The actor's mom had also planned a surprise birthday party for her daughter which is next month in January.

Union minister Ramdas Athawale met the family of late actor Tunisha Sharma on Thursday. After the meeting, he talked to the reporters. PTI quoted him as saying, "Her mother is totally devastated at the loss. The state government must give her Rs 25 lakh as compensation. My Republican Party of India (Athawale) will give her Rs 3 lakh. We want the state government to appoint Ujjwal Nikam as special public prosecutor to ensure Tunisha gets justice."
Vinita Sharma said that her daughter Tunisha Sharma spoke to her sometime before lunch on the day of her demise. After lunchtime, Tunisha allegedly died by suicide. Vinita told India TV that Tunisha mentioned her desire to go to Chandigarh for Christmas. She also mentioned taking a break from shooting. "I was feeling anxious the whole day after I spoke to her. I was undecided about whether to go on set or stay at home. I decided to call the EP (Executive Producer) to ask about Tunisha's schedule. I was taken aback when I got a call from the set that my daughter has been taken to the hospital," shared Vinita.
Tunisha Sharma's mother Vinita Sharma has insisted that WhatsApp chats from Sheezan Khan's phone will reveal the truth. "It is sad when you read about young actors killing themselves just because of failed relationships. I seriously feel makers are the culprit in these cases. They hire young actresses and cast them opposite men who are much older and make them romance in their projects," Sofia told ETimes.

While seeking further remand of Khan, police argued that based on the statements they have recorded, it has come to light that on the day Tunisha died by suicide, the duo had a 15-minute conversation in the green room. Police said the duo seemed agitated, after which Khan left the room while Tunisha went to the bathroom. Police said when they questioned Khan about the same, he started crying.
Sheezan Khan will remain in police custody till Friday, reported ANI, as a court near Mumbai ordered. He was presented before the court by the police after his custody expired earlier. The lead actor has been arrested on Tunisha's mother's complaint on charges of abetment to suicide.
Actor Sheezan Khan deleted his WhatsApp chats with another girl. The police said Sheezan was talking to his ex-girlfriend on WhatsApp but later deleted all his chats with her. The police found 250 pages of WhatsApp chats from Sheezan's mobile phone, which will be studied and further analyzed, reported India Today.
The police had earlier taken accused actor Sheezan Khan on the sets of his show, Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul in Naigaon, at around 2 am on Monday night. "The police found a piece of paper on the set with ‘Sheezan’ written on one side and ‘Tunisha’ written on the other. ‘He is blessed to have me as a co-actor woohooo’ was also scribbled on the paper," read an India Today report.
Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla, of the duo, said that they could not believe that “she could take such a step.” He was quoted by IANS as saying, “It is a very sad and disappointing news that at such a young age of 20, she took a drastic step without thinking about her mother and others in the family.” He added, “Today’s generation at certain times doesn’t think much, but taking such a step is never right.”
In an interview with indianexpress.com, Vineet Raina said that Tunisha Sharma was a bright and vibrant girl and she had a brilliant future ahead of her. He said, “She was a very positive girl. I don’t know what went wrong. And not many people know that she was such a good singer. She was amazing. She was a multi-talented girl. I spent a very short time with her, but she will always remain in my heart. The Waliv police told a Vasai court on Wednesday that the investigation into the suicide of actor Tunisha Sharma is focusing on some ‘deleted WhatsApp chats’ from the phone of her former boyfriend, actor Sheezan Khan, and a ’15-minute conversation’ between them some time before her death on Saturday.

Tunisha Sharma's uncle Pawan Sharma today told ANI, "Police today stated before the court that Sheezan had relations with other women too. Police should investigate the case from all angles."

Talking to ANI about Tunisha Sharma's suicide case, Dr Surendra Pal, F&B Hospital, said, "Her body was brought by colleagues. She was declared dead at 4.20 pm. Body was taken for post-mortem at around 9 pm. ECG confirmed death. Except for a deep strangulation mark on neck, no other mark was found on her body."
According to a report Tunisha, on the day she allegedly committed suicide, was supposed to shoot a music video with her Internet Wala Love co-star Shivin Narang.
Shivin told ETimes, “I still can’t believe this has happened. Tunisha and I were supposed to shoot for a music video on December 23 and 24 in Mumbai.”

Singer and reality TV actor Rahul Vaidya took to Twitter to emphasise the importance of mental health. Rahul tweeted, “So important to focus on mental health in today’s times .. In a video that has been doing the rounds of the internet, Tunisha Sharma is seen being rushed to the hospital from where she was found. Her former partner and co-star Sheezan Khan, who is currently in police custody over abetment of suicide charge, also features in the said video.
"Sheezan has been in police custody for the last two days and we are continuously interrogating the accused. When the lady police officer of Waliv police station reached to interrogate the accused, he started crying. For two consecutive days, he kept on narrating different theories for breaking up with Tunisha but when a woman officer questioned him, he started crying...Sheezan has denied the existence of any other girl in his life," ANI quoted a police official as saying.
The sisters, Falaq and Shafaq, who're also artistes, took to social media to share a joint statement regarding Tunisha's death case, a part of which read, "As much as everyone is eager to know the 'other side of the story', we are equally curious to know, but for time being we'd like for you to allow us privacy in this grave situation. Both families are victims at this point. Let the right time come and we will address the matter for sure. But this is not the right time. A death is a painful situation everyone needs to honour the privacy of the affected Families and give them the space to mourn and carry on with the funeral first.
It is such an unfortunate state that we lost a precious soul and another is arrested. Accusations have been leveled against Sheezan and the police are investigating the case. Let police take the call. I am confident that an innocent guy has been framed without an application of mind. This situation has been overwhelming for the family members and we'd like to take this time to co-operate with the police and let the truth come out."
Sheezan played the lead role in the show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. He is best known for the role of young Akbar in the television show Jodha Akbar. Khan has also appeared in shows like Silsila Pyaar Ka, Ek Thi Rani Ek Tha Raavan, Nazar 2 and Pavitra: Bharose Ka Safar. In 2020, he was seen in Nazar 2 and despite good reviews and ratings, the show went off-air due to the pandemic.
The 28-year-old actor has two elder sisters– Falaq and Shafaq Naaz, who are also television actors. He has appeared in several Hindi language television shows.
