Sobhita Dhulipala kickstarted wedding festivities with Naga Chaitanya with Godhuma Raayi Pasupu ritual. As part of this ritual, the house is decorated and guests are invited to participate in the ceremony. On Monday, just like her engagement announcement, Sobhita surprised her fans by sharing a series of photos from her Godhuma Raayi Pasupu danchtam.
As the actress desired, she had a typical Telugu start to her wedding with this age-old ceremony. Sobhita was seen dressed in a beautiful pink silk saree. She wore gold ornaments, and decorated her hair with jasmine flowers. She shared several pictures from the ceremony, where she can be seen taking part in the rituals with a huge smile on her face. In other photos, she could be seen posing with her girl pals as well as seeking blessings from her elders. The actress also flaunted her green glass bangles and engagement ring. Sharing the pictures, the actress wrote, “And so it begins.”
Previously, in an interview with Galatta India, Sobhita talked about the kind of wedding she expects. She said, “It’s interesting how you look at photographs of some wedding, you could tell this is from here, it represents this particular culture, this must be their roots, or this jewellery is from this part, you could piece together a story of a heritage. It’s very beautiful. I am not a minimal type of person. I mean that could be a mood, or looks for some day, but I think for these occasions, which are ceremonial, I like full fervour.”
After secretly dating for a few years, Sobhita Dhulipa and Naga Chaitanya got engaged to each other on August 8. The first photos of the couple was shared by Naga Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna. The couple never revealed their wedding date.
