Saaho trailer: Prabhas showcases breathtaking action

Saaho trailer: Prabhas returns in a cool action avatar after his blockbuster franchise Baahubali. The Sujeeth directorial releases on August 30.

The trailer for Prabhas starrer Saaho is out. If the teaser was just a glimpse of the awesome stunts and visual effects the film has to offer, the trailer really drives home the high-calibre production values of the actioner.

The impression one gets from the trailer is the film is going to be a non-stop fun ride. Prabhas’ leading man really does look like a force to be reckoned with. His character is introduced in style. We also get introduced to the villains of the film. Saaho features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jackie Shroff and Chunky Pandey as bad guys.

While Prabhas is playing the role of a cop, his character clearly has grey shades. He appears to be working outside the law in a few shots while fighting goons. At one point, he falls in love with Shraddha Kapoor’s crime branch officer. The two presumably team up to stop international mobsters.

There are some impressive, Hollywood-level action set pieces. The cinematography is stunning. Sports cars race across cyberpunk-ish cities, kyscrapers topple, there are street chases like the Fast and Furious movies, a tank crushes two cars beneath it and these all look really believable and the money appears to have been well spent.

Saaho seems to be the best possible return of Prabhas to the big screen post Baahubali. The Telugu megastar is teaming up with director Sujeeth and Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor for the first time in Saaho.

The film also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Vennela Kishore, Arun Vijay and Chunky Pandey in key roles. Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen in a special number. Evelyn Sharma also makes her Tollywood entry with Saaho.

Saaho is being simultaneously shot in both Hindi and Telugu. It is set to release on August 30 in four languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
