Music composer S Thaman on Monday took to his Twitter handle and dropped a picture with cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Thaman, who seemed to be very excited after meeting the cricket legend, wrote a special message for Dhoni in the caption.
S Thaman, who predominantly works in Telugu and Tamil films, made his debut as a composer in 2009. Varisu director Vamshi Paidipally had earlier revealed the struggles faced by the composer.
In a chat with Cinema Vikatan’s YouTube channel, the director said, “I have a very emotional bond with Thaman. He is like my brother. His father passed away at a very young age. He came to the film industry when he was just 13 years old. At 13 or 14 years, he took the whole responsibility of his family on himself.”
He added, “From there on, he worked towards what he has become today. It was not an easy journey. He chased his passion. There was so much negativity around him. He answered all of it back with his songs and background score.”
