Pushpa 2 worldwide box office collection day 27: New Year’s eve proved to be extremely prosperous for the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule, with the film witnessing a bump in box office collections. Pushpa 2 earned Rs 7.65 crore, according to the early estimates by Sacnilk. The Allu Arjun-starrer witnessed an overall occupancy of 15.51% in its Telugu version with over 600 shows across India. Meanwhile, in the Hindi language, the film witnessed an occupancy of 19.15% with around 3000 shows in India.

Pushpa 2 earned Rs 1.17 crore in the Telugu language, Rs 6.25 crore in Hindi, Rs 20 lakh in Tamil, Rs 2 lakh in Kannada, and Rs 2 lakh in Malayalam, respectively. The film earned almost four times more than Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, which was released on Christmas and was presented by Jawan filmmaker Atlee. With no competition in the coming weeks, Pushpa 2 is expected to cross the Rs 1800 crore mark, globally. The film had released on December 5 with preview screenings on December 4. As per the latest updates shared by Mythri Movie Makers, the film’s 25-day global gross stands at Rs 1760.

The film has collected Rs 1100 crore from its Hindi version alone, despite being originally made in the Telugu language. With Rs 1760 crore, the film has already broken the record of Prabhas’ Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The film is now just Rs 300 crore behind Dangal’s Rs 2070.3 crore. If it manages to pass this figure, it will become the highest-grossing Indian hit of all time.

Pushpa 2’s box office numbers were boosted by the hike in ticket prices until December 23 across Telangana. The film is running on standard prices across India. The makers were also slammed for ‘monopolising’ multiplexes. Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane had criticised the move. Recently, other producers too highlighted the issue in a Galatta Plus round table.
