With less than three months until the worldwide release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, its makers have unveiled another track from the movie, which also provides a sneak peek into its actual sets, as the video is packed with behind-the-scenes (BTS) visuals. Commonly titled “The Couple Song” across all languages in which the movie is being made, its original Telugu title is “Sooseki”.
The four-and-a-half-minute song’s video features lead actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, along with background dancers, rehearsing the steps under the guidance of choreographer Ganesh Acharya and the ultimate leadership of director Sukumar. The video also highlights the adorable camaraderie they all share as the cast and crew joyously prepare for the shoot of the song.
Sporting casual attire and a chill demeanour, Arjun and Mandanna can also be seen gradually immersing themselves in their characters, Pushpa Raj and Srivalli, respectively, yet still enjoying the fun atmosphere on set. While Arjun is high on energy and swag, Mandanna is back with her Saami Saami charm that will surely blow everyone’s mind.
Singer Shreya Ghoshal has provided the vocals to the engaging and upbeat track, composed by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) and penned by Chandrabose. The song has released in six languages — as Sooseki (Telugu), Angaaron (Hindi), Soodaana (Tamil), Nodoka (Kannada), Kandaalo (Malayalam), and Aaguner (Bengali) — with Ghoshal singing all versions.
Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, along with Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2: The Rule is said to be one of the most expensive Indian films ever. While its cinematography is handled by Mireslow Kuba Brożek, S. Ramakrishna and Monica Nigotre are the movie’s production designers, and Navin Nooli is on board as the editor.
One of the most anticipated Indian films of the year, Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit the screens on August 15, 2024. It is a direct sequel to the 2021 actioner Pushpa: The Rise, which earned Arjun and DSP the National Film Awards for Best Actor and Best Music Direction, respectively.
