Pushpa 2 box office collection day 13 early report: With no big masala entertainer hitting the Indian screens this week, it is safe to say that the Pushpa 2 juggernaut will continue its terrific run at the box-office for one more week. Although the 2nd Monday of its run saw the biggest drop faced by Pushpa 2 since its release on December 5, it still made Rs 26.95 crore. However, it is to be noted that till the third weekend, this trend will continue for Pushpa 2, which is boosted by renewed vigour every single time the weekend hits. Till then, the numbers would not hit the roof, considering the standards set by Pushpa 2 over the first 11 days. Even now, according to the trade website Sacnilk, the Allu Arjun-starrer has made Rs 19.76 crore so far on Day 13.

From the trends on Monday and Tuesday, it is clear that the daily domestic collections of the Sukumar in its second week will be hovering around the Rs 20 crore mark every day, resulting in a comparatively gradual ascension to the Rs 1000 crore club in the domestic markets. As of now, the movie has made Rs 948.81 crore, and by the end of the day, the Rs 950 crore mark would definitely be breached. One of the most impressive aspects of the commercial success of Pushpa 2: The Rule is how the Hindi version has made double the amount of money made by the original Telugu version. These numbers are unprecedented, and reflects the popularity of the franchise and the leading star.

For instance, on Day 12 (Monday), out of the Rs 26.95 crore, Rs 20.5 crore came from the Hindi version. Compared to Monday, the Tuesday numbers are expected to be slightly lesser, especially since the occupancy rates have dropped below 20% as the Telugu version has clocked at 17.78 % and the Hindi version stands at 14.87%. However, with the number of screens the film has all across the country, even this occupancy translates into solid numbers that are helping the film break multiple records like it is just another Monday.

Mythri Movie Makers, who have backed both the Pushpa films, released a poster announcing that Pushpa 2 has become the highest collecting film ever on 2nd Monday in Hindi and is the fastest Hindi film to earn Rs 582 Crores nett in just 12 days. In all probability, Pushpa 2 is on track to become the highest-earning Hindi film ever, and the breaking of linguistic barriers has never been this pronounced. It is currently in third position after Stree and Jawan, but it is just a matter of time before these records are rewritten.

This trend will definitely continue as days progress, and the biggest threat for Pushpa 2, apart from the weekday drops, would be the Varun Dhawan-starrer Baby John. The film, which is releasing on Christmas, has a strong South connect as it is the remake of Atlee-Vijay’s Theri. With the brand of south cinema becoming the flavor du jour of Indian cinema, it would be interesting to see if Baby John takes over the Hindi market, or it would still be Pushpa phenomenon ushering in 2025.
