The expectations for Prabhas’s upcoming film Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire are humongous and the film is releasing in more than 5000 locations across the world. Prathyangira Cinemas, one of the overseas distribution companies of Salaar, announced on Twitter that the Prabhas-starrer will be released on 1979+ screens across North America, which is a record number for an Indian film.
The film will premiere in the US on September 27. Since the worldwide success of Baahubali films and RRR, the market for Indian films in the overseas market has grown exponentially.
Recently, the teaser of Salaar was unveiled to a great response from the fans, which also led to the speculation that the film is set in the same universe as Yash’s KGF. This has further created a huge hype for the film. The film is bankrolled by Hombale Films, the makers of the Kannada blockbuster. Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Jagapathi Babu are part of the film. In India, it will be released on September 28 in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi.
Meanwhile, Prabhas’s other mega-budget film, Project K is also getting ready. The latest development with the film is that Kamal Haasan has joined the star cast, and he is reportedly playing the villain in the dystopian film.
