Actor Prabhas and the team of Adipurush are leaving no stone unturned to promote their upcoming film. Before the movie’s pre-release event on Tuesday evening, the actor visited Tirumala temple in Tirupati to seek blessings.

Dressed in white kurta pyjama, the actor adorned a red silk shawl as he made his way through the temple amidst heavy security. Adipurush’s pre-release event, which will take place in Tirupati, is expected to be a high-profile event, with the film’s second trailer being released for the audience.

Adipurush, a pan-India release, is based on the epic Ramayan. The film stars Prabhas as King Raghav, who is exiled to the forest for 14 years along with his wife Janaki played by Kriti Sanon, and younger brother Laxman, played by Sunny Singh. The first trailer of the film was released some time ago with improved VFX after the film was heavily trolled for poor graphics in the teaser.

During the film’s trailer launch, Kriti had said Prabhas as a person is “as simple as Prabhu Ram”. She said, “He’s as simple as Prabhu Ram I’d say. He’s so simple, so from the heart.” Saif Ali Khan is also part of the film and will be seen playing the role of Ravana in the film.

Recently, veteran actor Sunil Lahiri, who played the role of Lakshman in the iconic serial Ramayan by Ramanand Sagar, reacted to Sunny portraying the part in Adipurush. “At this stage, it is very difficult to say anything because there is hardly anything shown of Lakshman’s character in the trailer, but I am sure Sunny is a good actor and he must have done justice to the role since he also has previous references of the character,” Sunil told IANS.

Also starring Devdatta Nage and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, Adipurush will be release in theatres on June 16 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
