Project K is set to become the first Indian film to make its debut at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. While the festival will be missed by many Hollywood stars because of the ongoing writers and actors strike in the US, Project K stars Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone will be there to promote their film. The first glimpse of the film will premiere at the event on July 20.
As per a recent photo shared by the production house Vyjayanthi Movies, it looks like Rana Daggubati will also be present at the event to lend his support. The official handle of the production house shared a picture of Prabhas and Rana from the US. “The men have landed in the USA. See you in San Diego on July 20th (Sic),” read the caption. Rana and Prabhas shared screen space in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali.
Rana has been a vocal admirer of Project K in the past as well. At the India Today Conclave, the actor said that this film could be the next global Telugu hit. “We celebrate each other’s cinema fully. Like there is another film called Project K which Nag Ashwin is directing with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. That’s the film we are really looking forward to in Telegu. That film will, I think will break the boundaries that both Baahubali and RRR have done. Pushing that boundary to the next edge. I am really looking forward to that film and it could really become a global film from Telegu.”
Meanwhile, fans of Prabhas in St Louis, US, arranged a car rally to celebrate Project K. The fans drove through the streets of the US wearing Project K merchandise. They also formed the letter ‘K’ with their cars, which was shot by a drone camera. Here’s the clip:
Fans across the world, including the ones in Japan, are waiting to know what Project K is all about. The production house also shared a video from Tokyo, where Prabhas’ fans are seen in the Project K t-shirt parading the streets.
The makers recently unveiled the first-look poster of Deepika Padukone from the film. Deepika was pensive in the poster with a sharp glance that was directed away from the camera.
Also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, Project K is touted to be a dystopian sci-fi film.
