Telugu star and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna is no stranger to controversies. From allegedly opening fire at a film producer in the early 2000s and multiple instances of mistreating fans, to shoving actor Anjali on stage during an event, Balakrishna has frequently exhibited condemnable behaviour in public. He has once again found himself at the centre of a controversy after a video surfaced online showing him yelling at a fan.
Although he calms down for a moment and poses for selfies with some fans, particularly women, he begins fuming again within seconds. He then points the fan out to his security team, saying, “Don’t let him near me in the evening, too. Did you hear me?” The reason behind Balakrishna’s outburst, however, remains unclear. While some fans suggested online that he may have been yelling at someone who was getting too close to female fans, the words the actor used to reprimand him does not indicate this.
Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, Akhanda 2 is a sequel to the duo’s 2021 blockbuster. Also starring Samyuktha and Aadhi Pinisetty in key roles, the film is set to hit theatres on December 5. Mounted on a budget of Rs 50 crore, the original Akhanda had concluded its theatrical run with a worldwide collection of Rs 117 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Besides being an actor, Nandamuri Balakrishna is also an MLA from Hindupur constituency in Andhra Pradesh.
