Lucky Baskhar box office collection day 1: After the setback of King of Kotha and a 14-month hiatus, actor Dulquer Salmaan has made a grand comeback with director Venky Atluri’s period crime thriller Lucky Baskhar, which opened to rave reviews on Thursday. Despite releasing alongside monumental films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Singham Again and Amaran, Lucky Baskhar has already carved out its own space, leveraging the Diwali holiday audience.

On its release day, the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer recorded an India nett collection of Rs 6.6 crore, according to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk. With an additional Rs 90 lakh earned on Wednesday from preview shows, Lucky Baskhar’s domestic collection has reached Rs 7.5 crore. It may be recalled that King of Kotha, the most ambitious film of his career, had registered an India nett collection of Rs 8.05 crore on its first day when it hit screens in August last year. Of Lucky Baskhar’s total day-one earnings, Rs 4.4 crore came from the Telugu version, while the Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada versions brought in Rs 1.8 crore, Rs 40 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, respectively.
