Just days ahead of its release, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD released the second trailer of the film giving a closer look into the characters of Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Kamal Haasan. The over two-minute-long video gives us a little more insight into the world of Kalki and its plot. The Nag Ashwin directorial film is set to release worldwide on June 27.
The video opens with Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwathama talking to the character of Deepika Padukone. He says, “They say the whole universe resides within God. But God himself resides in your womb.” Soon other characters including Deepika enter the frame with cuts to many other scenes and small dialogues by actors involved. The trailer also offers a fight sequence between Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. After many shots of the barren land, the trailer cuts to Kamal Haasan, who is heard saying, “Despite the endless opportunities spanning over generations, man fails to redeem himself and he never will.”
Eventually many Dune, KGF, and Marvel like sequences are shown while a song plays in the background.

Just a few days ago, the makers of the film had organised a grand pre-release event in Mumbai. It was attended by Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, among others.
Kalki 2898 AD, which was in the making for over five years, also stars Disha Patani, Shobana and Anna Ben. Produced by C Aswini Dutt, Swapna Dutt, and Priyanka Dutt, the film will hit the theatres in multiple languages.
