Ghaati trailer: Anushka Shetty has been selective with her film choices following her career-defining role in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise. She typically takes on one project a year, maintaining a low profile and preserving the mystique that surrounds her stardom. Now, after a brief hiatus, Anushka returns with Ghaati, a fierce action epic that has languished in post-production for over a year. Judging by the trailer released today, the film, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, appears to be a perfect star vehicle for Anushka, boasting an epic scale and immersive, gritty world-building.

Ghaati is an action-adventure set against the rugged backdrop of the Eastern Ghats, centering on a community’s rebellion against colonizers and a sprawling drug trafficking empire. The trailer offers a glimpse into the journey of two cannabis couriers who rise up against a powerful drug mafia tightening its grip on the region. It hints at Anushka Shetty’s character, alongside Vikram Prabhu, leading the charge in this fierce uprising against their oppressors.
