Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan from Nani’s Dasara: Santhosh Narayanan’s new song is reminiscent of Pandi Naatu Kodi from Jigarthanda

Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan is the perfect Santhosh Narayanan 'kuthu' number, which is reflective of Dasara's tone.

A still from Dasara song Dhoom Dhaam DhosthaanNani in Dasara.

Santhosh Narayanan, who predominantly works in Tamil films, has composed the music for Nani’s upcoming rural entertainer Dasara, and the song “Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan” gives a glimpse of what the ace music director has done for the much-awaited Telugu film.

“Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan” is a typical SaNa rural number that also reflects the rustic flavour the film is aiming for. On top of it, the song is also reminiscent of the music composer’s earlier composition “Paandi Naatu Kodi” from Jigarthanda. Apart from the similar band sounds, the setting of the song also creates a sense of deja vu.

Like “Paandi Naatu Kodi”, here too the song is the result of a bunch of guys celebrating after getting drunk on country liquor.

Nani will pretty much be seen drunk all through Dasara as he seems to be playing the role of an alcoholic who creates a lot of problems under the influence only to forget his nuisance after sobering up.

“Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan” was launched in a grand fashion with actor Rana Daggubati attending the event as a special guest. Rana and Nani also danced to the song along with the film’s female lead Keerthy Suresh.

Dasara, directed by debutant Srikanth Odela, is a departure from Nani’s usual romantic films. The trailer promises a bloody and violent film. Other than Nani and Keerthy Suresh, Dasara also stars Dheekshith Shetty, Samuthirakani, Shin Tom Chacko, and Sai Kumar.

Dasara will be released in theatres on March 30.
