As speculated, actress Niharika Konidela, the niece of Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, and her husband Chaitanya Jonnalagadda are heading for a divorce. Earlier, Niharika deleted wedding pictures from Instagram and unfollowed her husband, hinting all is not well between the two. Now, in a new Insta post, the actress has confirmed that they have decided to mutually part ways.
Her post read, “Chaitanya and I have decided to mutually part ways and ask for kindness and sensitivity as we move on. Thank you to my family and friends who have been pillars of support. I request some privacy for us to navigate this new normal in private. Thank you for understanding.”
Niharika, sister of actor Varun Tej, got married to Chaitanyan in 2020 in Udaipur with many celebrities including Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and Pawan Kalyan in attendance. The marriage was arranged by the family. While Niharika was an actress before the wedding, Chaitanya, son of a Guntur Inspector General of Police J Prabhakar Rao, is an IT professional.
Recently, Varun Tej got engaged to actress Lavanya Tripathi, and Chaitanya was not spotted at the event further fueling divorce speculations between him and Niharika. The reason for divorce is unknown.
Daughter of actor-producer Nagendra Babu, Niharika started her career as a TV anchor and later made her foray into acting with Oka Manasu (2016), which had Naga Shourya in the lead role. Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, Happy Wedding, Suryakantham, and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy are other films of Niharika.
