Megastar Chiranjeevi is celebrating his 69th birthday today, and the makers of his next, Vishwambhara, released the first look of the film. Directed by Vassishta, the movie, backed by UV Creations, also stars Trisha, Ashika Ranganath, and Kunal Kapoor.
In the first look, we see Chiranjeevi holding a magical trident in his hand in a mountainous region with a vortex of some sort glowing behind the Megastar. With Vishwambhara pegged to be a socio-fantasy film, there are speculations that it could include elements of time travel or multiverses or a portal through which dark forces enter the Earth. It also goes well with the caption of the film, which reads, “When myths collide, legends rise.”

Sharing the first look of the film, Vassishta wrote, “When darkness and evil take over the world, a Magnaminous Star shall shine bright to fight. Happy birthday, Megastar Chiranjeevi garu. Let the world witness your aura with Vishwambhara. Get ready for a Mega Mass Beyond Universe, in cinemas from January 10, 2025.”
If all goes according to plan, Vishwambhara will be Chiranjeevi’s second straight Sankranthi release after Waltair Veerayya (2023). The Vassishta film also marks the reunion of Chiranjeevi and Trisha after Stalin (2006).

With music by Oscar winner MM Keeravaani and cinematography by Chota K Naidu, Vishwambhara marks the second film of Vassistha, who made a smashing and rather unconventional debut with Bimbisara, which was once again a fantasy action film.
