“Before you entered this world, it may have been filled with evil. But before we depart, it’s our responsibility to fill it with goodness,” a character tells Trisha Krishnan‘s Brinda as we see her gearing up for a no-holds-barred battle. The official teaser of Trisha’s first-ever streaming series Brinda is here and promises everything one could expect from a mystery thriller.

The 88-second teaser begins by showing an area being readied for carrying out a ritual. A girl has been tied to a stone bound with red thread, and two women smear turmeric paste on her face, kumkum on her forehead, and spill some liquid over her head as she screams with fear. “We may have anger, betrayal, and hatred within us. But it’s not with these that we should battle. Rather, fight with the good in us, making sure it doesn’t fade away,” the voiceover says as the teaser shifts into high gear, highlighting that the series will be an emotional rollercoaster and a thrilling ride. “A time when everything seemed lost, she came as the light at the end of the tunnel,” reads the show’s tagline in its official statement.

It is a powerful, female-led narrative, and I am extremely happy to direct this series. Brinda’s character is layered unraveling different aspects as the story progresses. It’s been a pleasure working with Trisha Krishnan, and through Brinda, we hope to redefine the genre and push the envelope in the Telugu industry.”
