Since the Salman Khan hosted reality show Bigg Boss 19 premiered on August 24, contestant Tanya Mittal has been making headlines every day. The entrepreneur and spiritual content creator has been trending on social media for her wealthy lifestyle claims. From having 150 bodyguards back home to a lift in her kitchen cabinet, Tanya has also become meme-material for her statements in the BB house. Check out details about her net worth, business, house, and much more.
Tanya Mittal was born on September 27, 2000, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. She pursued her education at Vidya Public School and then did her graduation in architecture from Chandigarh University. In 2018, she was crowned as Miss Asia Tourism Universe 2018, which eventually opened doors for her into the influencer space.
Her claims of owning 150 bodyguards and 800 house staff have now gone viral on the internet. She has made many other exaggerated claims such as not knowing what things to take before taking a shower, her bodyguards saving people at Mahakumbh, her family calling her boss, and comparing her home to a 5-star or 7-star hotel, claiming that an entire floor is only for her clothes. Even in the Salman Khan show, she landed with 800 sarees, seven boxes of jewelry, and two suitcases. However, she became a soft target of trolls, accusing her of lying about her wealth and lifestyle.
Several social media influencers have also called her out for lying about her house, including ex Bigg Boss contestant Abhishek Malhaan. He showcased her posts revealing a basic middle-class house, nothing close to her tall claims of it looking like a ‘5 star hotel’. Netizens even dug out her factory’s video.
The content creator started her own brand called Handmade with Love by Tanya, a successful handbag, handcuffs, and sarees business. As per several media reports, she began her business from scratch with only Rs. 500 in hand. With over 2.5 million followers on Instagram, she is known for being a motivational speaker, telling spiritual stories, and sharing lifestyle posts.
She also keeps herself engaged in various social causes – including working with organizations like Girl Up, talking about women’s equality and menstrual hygiene. In fact, she has adopted a village near Gwalior, helping people to work on women’s health projects, and takes complete responsibility of fostering two children – their education and basic needs.
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19, Tanya Mittal emphasised her journey and how she has struggled to become a self-made woman, after contestant Kunickaa Sadanand attacked Tanya’s mother. “My father used to beat me and my mother would save me. I have reached here with a lot of difficulty. I started my business with great difficulty, got permission to step out of the house. I would have gotten married at 19, I wanted to die then,” she revealed.
According to a report by Times Now, Tanya Mittal’s personal income is more than Rs 6 lakhs per month. Her earnings mostly come from brand collaborations, endorsements, and her various businesses. If reports are to be believed, her estimated net worth is around Rs 2 crores, making her one of the richest entrepreneurs to participate in Bigg Boss 19. She is also the owner of many luxurious cars, high-end branded sarees, and many other expensive items. According to her Instagram bio, she is the youngest millionaire.
Tanya Mittal’s father, Amit Mittal, is a succesful businessman, but likes to stay away from the spotlight. In a statement shared by the social media influencer’s team on Instagram, her parents opened up about their “mix of emotions” as they watched Tanya on the reality show. “We cannot explain the mix of emotions we feel seeing our Tanya on the country’s biggest reality show. As parents, nothing makes us prouder than watching her win hearts. But at the same time, nothing hurts more than seeing her being pulled down, made a target, and spoken about so cruelly by people who don’t even know her heart,” it read.
“To everyone questioning her or throwing allegations, we have only one request: please wait until her journey is complete before passing judgments. She deserves that much. Your reels and allegations may win you attention, but they leave scars that last a lifetime. And please… we ask with folded hands, keep us, her family, out of this. This is a very difficult time for us. We never imagined that our daughter, whom we raised with nothing but love, would be subjected to such negativity on such a public stage. Every harsh word cuts us too, in ways you may never understand. All we can hope is that humanity and kindness prevail. Until then, we continue to stand by our Tanya, with love and faith. We love you, stay strong like the boss we raised you to be,” the statement added.
