Teleiusion actor Yogesh Mahajan passed away due to cardiac arrest on January 19. He was found dead in his Umergaon flat. The actor, who was shooting for his TV show Shiv Shakti Tap Tyag Tandav, did not turn up for the shoot, which raised concerns among the team. When the crew members broke into his house, they found him unconscious. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but was declared dead.
While talking to India Today, Mahajan’s co-star Akangsha Rawat described him as a vibrant person with an amazing sense of humor. “He was such a lively person with a great sense of humour. We have been shooting together for more than a year. At the moment, we are all shocked,” she shared.

Suzanne Bernert also opened up about her bond with Yogesh Mahajan and expressed her condolences while talking to Etimes. She said, “I can’t believe it …such a wonderful human being and actor ..we had intense scenes but off camera it was great fun! Always positive he was and I am shocked sitting in Hyderabad with the news.”
Mahajan’s last rites took place on January 20 at Gorari-2 crematorium, near Pragati High School, Borivali West Mumbai. The actor is survived by his wife and seven-year-old son.
Yogesh Mahajan was popular for his work in Marathi films, such as Mumbaiche Shahane and Samsarachi Maya. He also starred in television shows like Adaalat, Jai Shri Krishna, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Devon Ke Dev: Mahadev, among others.
