Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah makers tease Babitaji’s ‘good news’, Munmun Dutta shares first post after denying engagement with Raj Anadkat

On Wednesday, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat made headlines for their rumored engagement. And while the news invited a lot of media attention, the actors soon cleared the air by calling all such reports ‘ridiculous and false’. Later, Munmun even went on to post some stories that hinted at denying the news, in fact, she even treated fans to pictures from her photoshoot in New York.

Right from the moment Munmun shared these pictures from the Brooklyn Bridge, the photos went viral and her comment section got flooded with people asking about her news regarding Tappu. Yesterday evening, Munmun spoke to ETimes and called the reports, “ridiculous, fake, and ludicrous.” Munmun insisted that the rumour was completely fabricated and added that she does not want to invest more energy in this “fake thing” that keeps coming up now and then.

Raj also took to Instagram and wrote, “Hello Everyone, Just to clear things up, the news you’ve been seeing on social media is false and baseless. Team Raj Anadkat.” Later, Munmun’s manager Afreen Riaz also shared a story and wrote, “Lights, camera, denial! Sorry to burst the bubble, folks! No engagement or wedding happening here, it’s just scripts and stilettos stealing the spotlight. Time to squash those engagement rumors and get back to what we do best – making magic on-screen.” Responding to this, Munmun also wrote, “Hahaha, Yes mam!”

With this situation stirring quite the buzz, the markers of Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah also took an opportunity to tease fans with their latest creative. They shared a poster where Munmun’s character Babita is talking on the phone saying, ‘Hello… Ek Good news hain…!!’, there is another strapline in the creative that reads, ‘Babitaji Ki Good News kya hogi?’

Earlier, a report in News 18 said that Munmun and Raj had secretly gotten engaged in Vadodara, Gujarat in the presence of their families.

These rumors about Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat’s affair surfaced in 2021 for the first time, and both actors strongly reacted to all the reports denying the relationship.
